1. Where are classes held?
a) Suzanne Patterson Center 45 Stockton Street Princeton, NJ 08540 (behind the municipal building at the intersection of Stockton & Nassau Streets (Rts 206 and 27)
b) All Saints’ Church 16 All Saints’ Road, Princeton, NJ 08540 (off of Terhune Road)
c) Princeton High School 151 Moore Street Princeton, NJ 08540

2. How do I determine which level class I should attend?
The Alliance assesses your level of fluency with a placement test.
Contact classes@allianceprinceton.com to make arrangements.

3. What is the room number at the Princeton High School?

The Alliance Francaise will contact students with the room number after the Princeton High School provides it to us.

4. Can I enroll for a class after it has begun?
Contact classes@allianceprinceton.com to make arrangements with the teacher.

5. How do I pay for classes?
There are two ways to pay:
a) via PayPal on our website
b) by mailing a check to PO Box 1165, Princeton, NJ 08540.

6. How do I know if class will be cancelled due to inclement weather?
An email will be sent to students notifying them of any cancellations.

7. Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, contact classes@alliancefrancaise.com to coordinate scheduling. Private Lessons cost $50/hr and are held at the Princeton Public Library.

8. What other options besides classes are there for practicing my French?

Conversation Group
Scheduled on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the second floor café of McCaffrey’s supermarket, 301 North Harrison Street, Princeton, NJ 08540.

Other Events

The Alliance holds a Bastille day Picnic in July and a holiday party in December. Performances at Princeton University’s French theatre group – L’Avant Scene are publicized on the website. Please check the website frequently for notices of upcoming cultural events.

9. If I (or my child) start a class after the term has begun, do we pay the full amount?
The cost of a class is as follows:
if started during weeks 1 or 2 - 100%
If started during weeks 3 or 4 - 80%
If started during week 5 or later - 50%.
